My wife and I just returned from a 3-1/2 week driving vacation in Spain. We put over 2100 km on the car we rented, visiting Alcala de Henares, Zaragoza, Barcelona, Tarragona, Valencia, Granada, Seville, Cordoba, Toledo and Madrid - as well as Gibraltar. The trip was the reason we bought this GPS - and are we ever grateful that we did! It would have been a nightmare trying to navigate the highways and streets without the GPS. But the 775T made it easy. And, when I occasionaly misinterpreted its instructions and made a wrong turn - or if a street was closed due to construction - no problem: it just recalculated and re-routed me. Clear, bright, adequately-sized screen; adequately loud spoken directions (when volume set at 100%). Startup map loading and satellite acquisition were fast. Did not use any of its advanced features such as Bluetooth coupling with a cell phone or media player. Only negatives are: (1) Was not able to find several Points Of Interest (no big deal), (2) Lost satellite several times while on very narrow streets with tall buildings in Madrid (but regained it quickly once in a more open area - I suspect any GPS would have experienced this). This being the first and only automaotive GPS I've owned, I can't compare it with other units. I can only say it took all the stress out of driving in Spain and was well worth the money paid for it.

The pros it recalculate fast, it get you there. My favourite part is lane changer. Also it has a lot of opinions which I like. Is cons software is slow, it take forever to search for area, Like the stores. It hard to put together. I got traffic accessory, make it go on and off the GPS. Lane changer is only come up on major highways but not all merges. Garment should have more lain changes on the map. I would improve the lane stuff, So I know what lane to be in for a turn or merge.

Lane Guidance
With the new Lane Guidance feature built into the nüvi 7x5 series, you'll never question which lane you should be driving in again. It provides you with a view of what lane you should be in for upcoming turns. And with the 3D Lane Assist Junction View, you'll be able to see a photo-realistic screen that shows you both the road detail as well as the signs as you will see them on the road. The signs that aren't needed for navigation are faded compared to the appropriate lane signage.

Integrated Traffic Receiver
Steer clear of traffic with an integrated GTM 20 FM traffic receiver designed to receive alerts about traffic tie-ups and road construction that might lie ahead on your route. No subscriptions or additional hardware needed. Just open the box, turn it on, and get instant access to traffic information--the traffic updates are free for the life of the device.

All you have to do is simply touch the screen to view traffic details and you'll be ready to detour around any problem area. And if you end up missing a turn, or you're forced into a detour that is not relayed through the traffic receiver, the nüvi's sophisticated automatic routing will get you back on track in no time. In most areas, the traffic broadcasts are continuous--there's no waiting for scheduled traffic news updates or random alerts. Because traffic broadcasts are received via a "silent" FM data channel, you can still listen to music or news programming on your car radio without interference from incoming FM traffic data transmissions.

HotFix Satellite Prediciton
Garmin's HotFix capability automatically calculates and stores satellite locations, greatly reducing satellite acquisition time so that you can turn the unit on and get going. With HotFix, your nüvi remembers the position of all satellites it is tracking when you turn it off, and calculates their movements in order to predict where they should be the next time you turn it on. HotFix can predict satellite positions for up to 3 days after the device was last turned off.

Multi-Destination Routing
This lets you enter several spots into the device (day care - supermarket-cleaners - office - day care, for example) and it will plot the fastest route. And once you've found the best router, the "Route Planning" feature lets you save up to 10 different routes, Garmin touts the feature for providing, "the most efficient route for errands, deliveries and sales calls." The feature also makes this an instant essential accessory for anyone who shops garage sales (you know what we're talking about). A trip log provides an electronic bread crumb trail of up to 10,000 points, so you can see where you've been on the map.

Where Am I? Where's My Car?
The nüvi 7x5 series is the first to answer two common questions: "Where am I?" and "Where’s my car?" At any time, with a single tap of the screen, drivers can display their exact latitude and longitude coordinates, the nearest address and intersection, and the closest hospitals, police stations and gas stations. And to help drivers find their car in an unfamiliar spot or vast parking lot, all nüvi 7x5s automatically mark the position in which they were last removed from the mount.

I won't give it 5 stars as I think these units should have some learning capability. If the city reconfigures an intersection, the GPS will send you out of the way as it will not recognize the changes and it will continue to do so forever. When you take the correct route, the GPS should remember it. This device is not a substitute for a map but it is 90%. Don't leave home w/o knowing where your going. Buying refurbished is the only way to go.

I purchased this item 6 weeks ago and have used it mostly for geocaching but my son used it in the car and it has functioned well for both of us. It has served me very well in caching, the points seem to be accurate as I compared it to my sister's smaller gps (I can't remeber what kind she has). The only thing I haven't figured out yet is how to delete my caches once I have logged them and want to get rid of the info but in all fairness, I haven't called the help line either. If you want a gps for more than one function, it also has a bicycling mode on it, this seems to do well.

I really like this unit as it has been greatly refined from the last Garmin I bought 4 years ago. The maps and display show great detail. the touch screen works very well. The only down side is the unit only comes with a car charger and MUST be used with the car charger to receive the Clear Channel traffic reports. Would be very nice if the FM antenna was built into the unit. I think for what you pay Garmin, they should include a A/C power brick.

The Magellan Maestro 437 delivers accurate directions and advanced navigation features, including integrated Bluetooth, Lane Assistant and text-to-speech. The driver can really save a lot of time to get this device to navigate in unfamiliar areas or when you go somewhere to find the fastest way to get to. The OneTouch feature is also drive fast one-click access to your favorite destinations.

The Magellan Maestro 4370 is a fairly compact unit, measuring only 4.6 cm wide,3.2 inches tall and 0.7 cm thick. It weighs in at 7.3 ounces. This model comes with a nice protective case so you can add it to your luggage with damaging it in transit pack. The well-developed design fits well both physically and aesthetically into any car.

One of my favorite features of the Maestro 4370 is the 4.3-inch touch screen that has a 480-by-800-pixel resolution. The device displays maps, text and images very clearly even under bright light. The onscreen keyboard is greatenough so that you no problems entering addresses while driving. The OneTouch screen is accessed by touching a tab on the screen and you can hide it when tapping the tab again.

The Magellan Maestro 4370 is equipped with a mini-USB port, an FM antenna input and a memory card slot. It also comes with a USB cable, an AC adapter, a vehicle-mounted charger, a vehicle and manuals. The mounting hardware requires some assembly but is easy to install and is guaranteed much more stable again. The GPS devicecan also serve as MP3 players. All in all, this is a superior GPS navigation device and it is worth the price.
